En los últimos 30 años Argentina convivió con un Brasil que se proponía como un hermano mayor cuidadoso y responsable y a la vez portador de un nuevo rol para Sudamérica. Por su parte, Argentina encuentra en la relación con Brasil un eje de repercusión política no sólo internacional sino también nacional. Sin embargo, también coexisten visos de desconfianza con respecto a la supuesta representatividad brasileña en el exterior. En este contexto, nos situamos en la interfaz de indicadores e imaginarios en los que se referencian las afirmaciones perceptivas. Las mismas terminan siempre jugando un rol central en el armado y en las decisiones sobre las estructuras políticas y, por ello, en este caso, elegimos analizar cómo las mismas influyen en la política exterior argentina con respecto al país vecino. Así, sostenemos que las percepciones son la variable fundamental para la formulación de las medidas de política exterior. En este artículo, presentamos tres percepciones que conviven actualmente en Argentina con respecto a BrasilIn the past 30 years Argentina has lived with a Brazil, who has proposed itself as one careful and responsible big brother and, at the same time, carried a new role for South America. In turn, Argentina finds in the relationship with Brazil an international and also national political impact. However, coexists overtones of distrust regarding alleged Brazilian representation abroad. In this context, we stand at the interface of indicators and imaginaries in which perceptive statements are referenced. They end up always playing a central role in the assemble and decisions on political structures and, therefore, in this case, we chose to analyze how they influence the Argentine foreign policy related to the neighboring country. Also, we argue that perceptions are a fundamental variable for the formulation of foreign policy extents.
